About Us

Proudly serving Pueblo since 1889...

All Are Welcome

The Y is a membership organization open to all people. We welcome women and men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities and financial circumstances. Programs and facilities embrace diversity, reflecting the needs and composition of the community we serve.

Our Commitment

For more than 134 years, we have directly engaged children and adults from all segments of our communities in achieving health of spirit, mind and body. Today, we are committed to extending its charitable heritage by ensuring that:

  • Every child and youth will deepen positive values, commitment to service, and motivation to learn.
  • Every family will build stronger bonds, achieve greater work/life balance, and become more engaged with the community.
  • Every individual will strengthen spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.

Our Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Core Values

Caring-Honesty-Respect-Responsibility

YMCA of the USA's four core values unite us as a movement with a common cause. They are the shared beliefs and essential principles that guide our behaviors, interactions with each other and decision making.

Caring: to show a sincere concern for others, for their needs and well-being.

Honesty: to be truthful in what you say and do.

Respect: to follow the golden rule.

Responsibility: to do what is right, be accountable for your promises and actions.

A Community Charity

We seek to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in programs and services that assist them in living fuller, healthier lives. Because of the positive impact of the Community Support Campaign, more lower-income youth, teens, seniors, and families throughout our community are provided the opportunity to participate in Y programs and services than ever before. Through our Financial Assistance program, the YMCA serves all people regardless of ability to pay. Eligibility is based on total earnings, extenuating circumstances, and available funds.
