Scholarship Assistance
At the YMCA of Pueblo, strengthening community is our cause. Since 1889, we’ve worked side-by-side with our neighbors and partners to respond to the most critical social needs of our community. With over $423,628 in Scholarship Assistance provided annually, the YMCA of Pueblo works to create a place where everyone can belong.
A Financial Assistance application and short interview are required to complete the process. Please visit our Member Services desk in our main lobby for more info or give us a call to book an appointment at 719-543-5151. We're paperless now! Sports
Sports are naturally fun for everyone. We are as interested in developing character as we are in developing healthy athletes. Our coaches stress good sportsmanship and skill development over winning. In 2018, the Dr. Bruno DeRose Memorial Scholarship was established by his family to honor the memory of an amazing man who got his start in sports at the Y and who had a huge heart for the kids in our community.
Full scholarships are offered seasonally to qualified youth in the Y's flag football, basketball, soccer and volleyball programs. One scholarship per sport, per season will be awarded. Learn more about our youth sports leagues here.

Military Outreach Initiative
YMCA of Pueblo is proud to announce that we're taking part in the Military Outreach Initiative program!
We understand that military families are under enormous strain, and that military life comes with unique challenges. Deployments and frequent moves can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s servicemen and women and their families.
In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA, the Y is proud to offer memberships and respite child care services to eligible military families and personnel through the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Military Outreach Initiative.
The Armed Services YMCA has partnered with YMCAs, as well as national and independent fitness centers nationwide, to offer service members and families free access to fitness centers and respite child care services*. The Military Outreach Initiative gives service members and military families extra support and access to vital resources that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. It’s another way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.
