Wellness Matters at the Y!

As of April 07, 2021, the YMCA of Pueblo and Pueblo County are in LEVEL YELLOW: 50% Capacity. Please be assured that your safety is our number one priority. We have put careful thought and planning into our facility operations. We have followed guidance from the CDC, local health agencies and public officials to update our policies, practices, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and make appropriate accommodations for social distancing so that every person who walks through our doors can stay safe and protected while getting back to what matters most: your health, your family and friends, and your community. <3

Info on the Y’s Safety

As we welcome the community back to the Y, we want to assure you that safety remains our top priority. We have taken all necessary steps to ensure the safety of our members, program participants, volunteers, and staff. This means things will look and feel a little different.

Safety Policies for All

Ensuring the health and safety of our Y community is everyone’s responsibility and we’ve made adjustments within our facility, and to our guidelines, for use. We are asking all members and program participants to follow these policies:

  • Face coverings must be worn in accordance with State Mandate 7.17.20 Read more...
  • Reservations required for Steam Rooms.
  • Temperature checks for every member at check-in. Those with temps above 100.4F will be asked to leave.
  • Wipe equipment with disinfectant before and after use
  • Please maintain a distance of six feet from all persons
  • Wash your hands upon entering the building and frequently
  • Parts of the facility will remain closed for now (Girls + Boys locker rooms). Reopening all areas will be gradual to ensure your safety.

Please bring your own mask, workout towel, basketball or volleyball or other equipment (for use in the gym), yoga mat, and water bottle. Face coverings must be worn throughout your visit in accordance to Governor Polis' Executive Order. (Effective Friday, July 17, 2020)

Those exempt from wearing a face covering are:

  • People who are 10 years old and younger.
  • People who cannot medically tolerate a face covering.
  • Children ages 2 and under should NOT wear masks or cloth face coverings

What can I expect during my visit?

Our facility will be open for members on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations required for the Steam Rooms. You can RSVP during your next visit at the front desk, by giving us a call at 719-543-5151 or simply booking online below.

BOOK MY SPOT

Please only use designated equipment, respect all signs regarding COVID19 protocols, and strive to maintain at least six feet from others whenever possible.

We will continue frequent cleanings, monitoring space capacity, and requiring staff to wear masks. Please remember to check out with your keycard as you leave the building to help manage capacity.

If you are not feeling well or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, PLEASE STAY HOME! Help us keep our Y communities safe and healthy. We are recommending that if you are part of a vulnerable population that you please wait to return to the Y. We also recognize that some members may not yet be ready to return. Please know we understand and we will be here to welcome you back when that time comes.

Thank You, ACTIVE MEMBERS!

As a nonprofit dedicated to keeping our community healthy, safe, and thriving for all, Y members like YOU make our impact possible. Thank you for staying with us during these incredibly challenging times. Thanks to your support, the Y was able to provide emergency child care during lockdown. Families were able to have a safe place for kids to stay during the day while guardians were working. We were able to virtually connect with isolated seniors, PLUS MORE! You were here for your community when it needed you most, and we remain here for you. Thank you!

What about my membership dues?

Community

Your Y isn’t a building. It’s people - people from all backgrounds and walks of life who come together to improve their lives, nurture their families and strengthen their community, TOGETHER. At the Y, you can always find a way to make a positive impact in our community: you can volunteer on our board, coach or mentor kids, teach a class, welcome members and visitors, or make a charitable donation to help neighbors in need.
